With the increasingly fierce market competition, adopting traditional methods which depress cost on raw material, fuel, facilities and labor, enterprise’s profit margin is getting low. As a result, people start to pay attention to logistic improvement which is called Enterprise’s Third Profit-point. However, whether logistic improvement could help enterprises gain advantage in market competition depend on if logistic management could improve supply chain’s agility and flexibility which further rely on logistic system’s cooperation with manufacturing system.In current situation, more and more companies realize the importation of supply chain management, but their operation module could not meet supply chain’s requirement and present following problems:company’s production and operation plan did not put supply chain factor into consideration; production, supply and sales did not form a "chain"; logistic flow and information flow are not smooth and even distorted; one-level statistic inventory management fail to adopt to supply chain management, company’s management of supplier and dealer is loose without awareness of strategic cooperation; company’s information level is low.Private small-and-medium-sized enterprises are chief part of Chinese economy with characteristics of small size and hard financing, so they have more demand on lowering cost. Having logistic improvement study on such kind of companies could help them gain advantage in increasing vigorous competition, which will be more meaningful.Company L is a typical private small-and-medium-sized enterprise in manufacturing industry. This dissertation take company L’s logistic management as study subject, guided by corrective logistic study and theories, introduce company L’s production logistic status from the aspects of organization structure, production flow, production line layout and production line management, points out a series of problems like no dedicated logistic management team, incompatible layout for logistics and production, lack of standardized material warehouse management, low efficiency on material moving, backwardness in logistic information management, and give analysis accordingly. Then it lists out logistic improvement strategy and implementation plan which include setting up logistic department, re-designing material warehousing and moving and pushing information management in production. Finally, it gives proposal to enhance foundation management, import logistic training, re-build organization structure in order to promote logistic improvement.Hope above logistic improvement proposal and implementation plan could help company L decrease logistic cost and have further development in short term; in long term, motivate company L to set up advanced logistic system, accomplish company management’s improvement and continuously strength company’s market competition.
