The Measure On The Level Of Agricultural Modernization And The Analysis Of Its Influence Factors In Hunan Province

Hunan is a traditional agricultural province. In recent years, however, theagricultural development in Hunan is quite slowly. There even appears a lot of social"three rural” issues. Such as the rural idle land, the unattended eld and children andthe so called “hollow villages”. In the new era, therefore, it is really necessary totransform the traditional agriculture into the modern agricultural and promote thedevelopment of agricultural modernization in Hunan Province.In order to promote the development of agricultural modernization in HunanProvince faster and better, we need to analysis its process and discover the mainimpacting factors first. Only by this way, can we promote the development ofagricultural modernization in Hunan Province. Therefore, this study has practicalsignificance to promote the process of agricultural modernization in Hunan province.It also provides properly solutions to the "three rural" problems. At the same time, thepaper could have positively impact on promote the “new four modernizations”synchronous development process.Based on the great number of relevant data, this paper dissects the currentposition and level of agricultural modernization in Hunan Province. First of all, itgives an overall descriptive statistics of agricultural modernization process. Then,establish a comprehensive evaluation index system to value the development ofHunan agricultural modernization, by combining subjective and objective analysismethod estimate the corresponding index weight. After that, compare the index bothlongitudinally and crosswise to deeply understand the process, structure, advantagesand disadvantages of it. Finally, establish the VAR model by using the main impactingfactors of Hunan agricultural modernization process, such as the capital, the labor, andthe level of rural education, the empirical research attempt to research the short andlong-term effects of them.Based on the researches, the paper draws the following conclusion:(1) For thedevelopment of Hunan agricultural modernization is quite slowly, even lower than thenational average level, it is imminent to promote the development of agriculturalmodernization in Hunan province.(2) The empirical results show that the increasingnumber of rural labor force in Hunan Province plays a negative impact on thedevelopment of the agricultural modernization and confirmed the existence of agricultural surplus labor in Hunan Province.(3) Underinvestment plays a main roleon the slowly development of agricultural modernization in Hunan province.(4) Thehigher cultural quality of rural population level has a long-term impact on promotingthe development of agricultural modernization in Hunan province.
