In recent years, peptide industry has achieved great improvements, peptide drugs become highlights of pharmaceutical industry. If enterprises want to stay in and achieve long-term improvements, R&D capability of the enterprises will be particularly important; and at the same time, the main role of R&D-pharmaceutical R&D personnel has become valuable treasure of the enterprises. How to promote the common improvements of R&D personnel and enterprise by performance evaluation has become an important research topic of human resource management.This paper describes the basic concepts of performance evaluation and management; combining with recent published articles, outlines several current popular methods and techniques of performance evaluation; and further more, analyzes the performance characteristics of R&D personnel. This paper’s research interst is the problem for designing performance evulation indicator for R&D personnel of AB pharmaceutical company:it aims the problem of defective designing of performance evaluation indicator for R&D personnel and nonideal effect of performance evaluation result, bases on the analyzes of various types of R&D personnel, selects performance evaluation indicator of R&D supervisors and chemists combining the performance evaluation view of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) method etc.; and gives indicator weighting factors by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. At the end of the paper, in order to make sure the implementation of the new type of performance evaluation indicator for R&D personnel, some safeguard measures are listed.The results of this paper have important reference significance to AB pharmaceutical company for how to perfect the performance evaluation of R&D personnel, and promote the common improvements of R&D personnel and the company. At the same time, it can also provide reference case to pharmaceutical industry for how to design effective performance evaluation indicator for relevant R&D personnel.
