The enterprise needs relying on quality to survive. Quality is an inexhaustible motive force for enterprise’s development. To improve the product quality is the most important task for manufacturing enterprises. On the outside, the enterprise needs to meet the customer’s growing quality requirement, to cope with the fierce market competition. On the inside, the enterprise needs to control costs, reducing waste, in order to enhance their own comprehensive strength. K Company has been engaged in developing and producing manual razor since1985. After a period of rapid development, the tool assembly process capability of K Company has been unable to meet its development requirement. K Company’s product quality has not been improved. This paper introduces the Lean Six Sigma Management in the company through analyzing the present situation of K Company. The company decides to optimize the tool assembly process, by applying the relevant methods and tools, to achieve higher product quality.This article first defines and analyses the tool assembly process problem, clearing the main influence cause, including the process layout is not reasonable, staff work is not careful and automation degree is not high, etc. Then it makes the project objectives to make the sigma level reach4. Secondly, K Company adjusts the assembly process layout based on5s, to remove his redundant links and conducts sampling inspection and data measurement on the basis of it. It is found that the production line imbalance through analyzing the data. Then K Company conducts process optimization and design. K Company conducts robust optimization to the conveyor belt speed, conveyor belt length and the time of putting a bag of products and so on, using the Taguchi method. Finally, the K Company stimulates and controls the results of quality improvement, using Kanban management, error prevention method and standard method.The empirical study shows that K Company’s tool assembly process capacity improves significantly, after the implementation of lean six sigma key technology. The quality of the products gets overall improvement. Its quality is improved from3.48to4.05sigma. These effectively enhance the K Company’s market competitiveness. This shows that the Lean Six Sigma method is of greater significance and value for the quality improvement of manufacturing enterprise.
