It's obvious that the Quality Management System is of great significance along with the increasingly fierce market competition.As a completely new Quality Management System which has made remarkable effect in Motorola and General Electric company and arose great attention all over the world.Six Sigma Quality Management is based on statistics and it is the application of specific projects and the use of strict forms of methods to improve process control capability. The essence of Six Sigma is to reduce deviation and pursuit high-quality constantly.After the brief introduction of the meaning and the origin of Six Sigma and its current situation at home and abroad, the article states the current feature of Six Sigma and its difference between traditional TQM/ISO 9000. In addition, the article states the basic rules and its conditions for operation, structure also concerned. In terms of practicality and effectiveness of Six Sigma practical step and basic tools deal with the complex issue. The article targets the Six Sigma quality management's application in connector plating process optimization. After the introduction of electroplating principle, firstly, make a statement of various elements which affect the quality of plating process, as well as the analysis of the function caused by Six sigma in dealing with the defects of plating process. Secondly, make an analysis and evaluation respectively on the traditional operational pattern of Foxconn's connector plating process optimization and project's operational pattern of Six Sigma. Last but not the least, set the whole tin iron plating corresponding plating process optimization project as an example establish a connector plating process optimization model of Six Sigma. In addition, the article also makes a research into the application of Six Sigma in the connector plating process optimization through DMAIC process and Minitab software. Finally, the article has been improve the Quality Management System of the connector plating process.
