In recent years, for the development of circular economy and the improvement of people’s environmental awareness, reverse logistics has been paid much attention on. The implementation of the reverse logistics can not only benefit for economics and environment, but also build up a good social image for enterprises. Inventory controlling is an important research field of the reverse logistics. Combined with the national863project, waste electrical appliances product was taken as the research object, the reverse logistics inventory control strategy is put forward based on the stochastic problems in the recycling process of waste household appliances, the relevant inventory controlling model is built. The main research work in this paper is as follows:(1) Based on the description of the operation ways of reverse logistics for waste household appliances, and the summary of the different reverse logistics of waste household appliances recycling mode network, the inventory controlling characteristics of waste household appliances product of reverse logistics under stochastic environment are analyzed.(2) Quantitative treatment of reverse logistics inventory model for the waste household appliances is studied under stochastic conditions..Combining with the current recycling process of waste household appliances, a three-level open-loop reverse supply chain containing collection stations, recycling centers, and recycling plant is established. The arrival number of waste household appliances at each collection station is assumed to follow Poisson distribution with different parameters, and then the batch delivery strategies of collection stations and recycling centers are put forward. Taking the average cost during an operation period as control target, a reverse logistics inventory model with three-level recycling network is established under the stochastic conditions. Both the optimal delivery quantity and time at collection stations and recycling centers, and the average cost during an operation period are optimized with the genetic algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the model is validated by a numerical example, and the influence of the average arrival rate of waste household appliances on inventory control strategy is analyzed.(3) Regular treatment of reverse logistics inventory model for the waste household appliances is studied under stochastic conditions. The recycling distribution for three kinds of recycling methods is given by model. Combined the recycling quantity of recycling center with the disassemble capacity of recycling plant, two different inventory control strategies are proposed. The delivery time was optimized to determine the collection point, the recycling center and recycling plant, a regular handling inventory control model was established, and the influence of different parameters on the inventory control strategy was analyzed.
