In the rapid development of the globalization and information economy times, enterprises face more competition and challenges, the domestic enterprise management concept is changing with foreign advanced management ideas, which should pay more attention to the performance management and fine management. Peter Ferdinand Drucker tells us:"all the activities of organization is for the organization’s performance". There is no doubt that how to improve the performance has become a more important work. Performance management is an important part of Human Resource Management, which can help the enterprise achieve the goal. The performance management is all the managers and employees to make the performance planning, the communication, the evaluation together to achieve organizational goals.Xi’an Coal Mining Machinery is specialized in developing, manufacturing and selling shearer, roadheader, explosion-proof electric apparatus (except for special control products), special equipment for coal mines, mining machinery as well as construction machinery and its spare parts; and the import and export of mechanical and electrical products, complete set of equipments and technologies (except for company’s products and technologies passed the national identification). In2008, there is Policy-mandated bankruptcy of company. In order to adapt to the rapid development, the company introduced advanced management concept and make appraisal system to improve the company’s management.This Paper illustrates the theory of Performance management, taking Xi’an Coal Mining Machinery as the research object, to analyze the status quo of the company performance management and the problems existing in the original system, and build a new performance management system, making some improvement for the company’s performance management, which can provide reference for more enterprises.
