With the rapid development of modern society, more and more women began to go out towork and become financially independent, positive and confident professional women. But atthe same time professional women are facing the increasing work stress. Previous studies ofwork stress had made progress, but researches for professional women as the research objectof the relationship between work stress and performance are still relatively lack. The studywill mainly explore professional women’s main stress sources, the relationship between workstress and performance, and the effect of the moderator variable.The paper mainly adopted the literature research, questionnaire survey, empiricalanalysis and other research methods and used SPSS19.0to carry out factor analysis, reliabilityand validity analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and multipleregression analysis. The paper’s conclusions are:(1) The career development, individual adaptability, job stress, organizational cultureand working atmosphere and family social support are professional women’s main stresssources, and the work itself pressure belongs to positive stress, the rest belong to negativestress;(2) Professional women’s work stress has a significant difference on family status andeducation. Work performance on the family status and unit exists a significant difference;(3) Work stress and performance has significantly negative correlation under the twokinds of pressures. Among them, the positive pressure exist positive correlation with taskperformance and negative pressure exists negative correlation with task performance andcontextual performance.(4) Self-efficacy as moderator variable between work stress and performance has playeda role of regulation. The self-efficacy on the relationship between the positive pressure andtask performance has a positive adjustment, and between negative pressure and taskperformance and contextual performance has negative regulation effect.At the end of this article, in order to promote positive influence of professional women’swork stress and avoid negative influence on work performance, this article from two aspects put forward strategies of work stress management. Such as maintaining the women’s positivepressure and owning the women’s negative pressure; Engaging in effective stress managementaccording to the characteristics of professional women personality; carrying out a series ofrelated courses about women, cultivating and improving women’s self-confidence; taking apositive feedback on the female employee management way; shaping positive, fair andenterprise culture; professional women themselves to keep a positive mental attitude,self-confidence. Because of the lack of knowledge and the limitation of time, energy, etc, thisstudy also has some deficiency and need to further improve.
