With the development of economic, today in China, market competitionincreases fiercely, which requires enterprises to continuously improve their owncompetitiveness. Production process optimization is one of the best ways formanufacturing enterprises to improve their production and their core competitiveness.Through production process optimization, enterprises can greatly increase theirproduction efficiency, reduce costs, increase productivity and the quality of theirproduct. Tank Dream Distillery is just in the time to reform and development,therefore, it is necessary for the distillery to carry out process optimization.Starting from Tank Dreams Distillery’s practical situation, the thesis analyzesand summarizes the problems in the production process, finding out problemsincluding supplies inefficient, inadequate quality control, waiting time during work,low utilization of productive equipments, imprecision of temperature measurement,high labor costs, raw materials transport loss, low motivation of workers,unreasonable product supply and so on. For each single problem, combined with thetheory of operations management, I present three recommendations for processoptimization, which includes the production planning process, the procurementprocess and the manufacturing process.Distillery’s section structure is unreasonable and lack of function, and there isno process of making production planning in the production process. Therefore, Ipropose to set up production planning department to improve distillery’sorganizations function and to optimize information communication and cooperationbetween departments. Also, it’s necessary to establish of production planningprocess. Make sure everyone works systematic an orderly, which can reduce production costs and improve production efficiency.In the procurement process, distillery’s purchase process is not perfect, andthere are no supplier management issues. So I propose to establish procurement plansbefore work and improve the procurement process to make sure our work reasonableand to strengthen the predictability and control of our work. At the same time,distillery should establish a supplier management system to guarantee the smooth ofprocurement process and the reduction of production and management costs.In the manufacturing process, for there is no advanced management such asstandard-setting work, which comes to manual production error, low efficiency andunreasonable plant. I bring forward that distillery should search of bottleneckoperations, improve them and establish a standard work hours and performanceappraisal to improve production efficiency. Reasonable usage of advancedproduction technology substitutes is also needed to save production costs and tomake fewer errors. Distillery should also design the layout and transportation routeof production properly to reduce production wastage and pollution which canincrease worker motivation.Finally, the thesis puts forward measure of safeguards for the plan of productionprocess optimization can be carried out optimally, including enterpriseinformationization, introduction of talent, training mechanisms and the establishmentof monitoring systems.Through a series of optimization for distillery production process, I believedistillery can improve its functional departments and make the co-ordination ofactivities planned. Meanwhile, with production efficiency improved and productioncosts reduced, the core competitiveness of distillery will be strengthened eventually,which should ensure Tank Dream Distillery making constant progress and standingin a well position in the market competition.
