The Interactive Effects Study Between Export Commodity Structure And Industrial Structure Of Shanxi Province

In the new opening period, accompanied with Central Rising and establishingnational transformation comprehensive reform pilot area strategy, the regions will beinevitably intensified and the industrial structure optimization will be accelerated. Basedon this, the transition development will be achieved. Shanxi as a resource industrialprovince in central region, coal dominant industrial pattern dominates for a longperiod. After the global financial crisis in2008, the development appeared as negativegrowth and in2014, the economic growth ranked posterior. Meanwhile, the totalexports of goods are$7.996billion represented as0.36%of the country’s total exports,ranking as the last of the six central regions. Since the openness is not high and thedevelopment is relative slow, the transition development and fully open is hindered. Inan open economy, the relation between export commodity and industrial structure isclose. In order to explore the deep-seated problems in Shanxi opening, the two partswill be seen as two sides of the same research.On the basis of meso-level, this paper discussed interactive effects between exportcommodity and industrial structure. By analyzing the pathway and transmissionmechanism between export and industrial structure, the general rules of interactiveeffects between export commodity and industrial structure will be summarized.Furthermore, on the basis of export and industrial structure status quo in ShanxiProvince, the empirical research about in interactive effects between export commodityand industrial structure will be conducted through structural effects model, the impact ofexport classification structure to industrial structure will be determined by endogenousexport growth model, furthermore, the effect of three industries to export commoditystructure will be analyzed through semi-logarithmic model, and it’s the shining point ofthis paper. Results show the export commodity and industrial structure has a long-termconsistency, but in a short period, the export commodity structure falls behind thedevelopment of industrial structure. Evolution and upgrading of industrial structure arethe basis of export commodity structure, and reasonable industrial structure canaccelerate the export commodity structure optimization. Moreover, the exportcommodity structure can promote the development of export department representing asaccelerating the sustainable development of three industries by positive external effectsof non-export department. Based on this and accompanied with actual situation in Shanxi, the optimization of export commodity structure and upgrading of industrialstructure will be achieved by developing modern agriculture, promoting traditionalindustries and fostering new industries representing as establishing the harmoniessystem of three industries and promote the export commodity structure optimization.Furthermore, by optimizing export commodity structure, strengthening the relationbetween export and non-export sectors, increasing investment in research and education,and promoting total factor productivity in export sector, the upgrading of industrialstructure will be promoted.
