The amazing busy scene would be shown at the normal construction site of power plant whose best characteristic is that so many people and machines are working synergistically. If any segment goes wrong, the other relevant segments would be stopped which leading to the suspending of the project construction. How could shorten the project schedule and make profits on the premise of ensuring the project quality? In recent years, with the number increasing of power plant in China, it is for sure that the modularization technology in this field will be much mature. During the construction of large-scale projects, more professional disciplines will be involved, if these domains could be divided into different professional modular, the system would be simple and simultaneously, management difficulty will be lesser, level of expertise will be increased as well.This thesis eyes on the study background and significance of power plant project modularization construction and management, point out the necessity of implement of modularization construction in our country. A preliminary research to the development of modularization method makes it become easily to see the gap of project modularization between domestic projects and foreign projects, from the project modularization point of view, find out the problems of normal power plant construction and analyze the root reasons of current problems. Based on the three principles which are detailed described in this thesis, it elaborates the implementation process of modularization construction including modularization design, prefabrication and installation management. The way of correctly and completely using the modularization theory in the power plant construction could promote our country’s power plant construction. Then, it takes ALSTOM as an example, using SWOT method, conducts experience summary on its own modularization development, used for reference to improve domestic power plant modularization construction. It combines the advanced experiences of global power plant modularization construction and management, based on the present status of domestic plant construction, provides relevant solutions to improve the situations of the current domestic power plant modularization construction and management, so as to offer reliable protections to domestic electricity industry. Finally propose the prospects to the study of power plant modularization construction and management.
