Recently, biomass energy receives increasing attention and the corresponding technology has been booming. Biomass power generation is one of the main ways to utilize biomass energy effectively. With our government developing a series of related policies and industry development planning, even though biomass generation industry enters a rapid development period, the factors of high fuel collection cost, shortage of supply and unstable supply chain in the process of biomass generation limit the substantial development of the industry. Owing to the production particularity of biomass fuel, the power plant doesn’t predominate in its supply which subjects to large-scale farmers and brokers. Therefore, the effective reduction of collection cost and the coordination between farmers, brokers, power plant and government is crucial to the substantial development of biomass generation industry. This paper illuminates the formulation of biomass power generation supply chain and the related collaborative theory frame from the respect of supply chain. Based on that, it dissects the collaborative mechanism of biomass power generation supply chain in terms of cost and profit. First of all, mathematical model is established, which represents collection cost, transportation cost and storage cost during fuel collection process. With regard to hybrid collection mode, this paper discusses the impact of joint supply mode on collection cost. With making parameter sensitivity analysis on collection cost, it’s obvious that farmers and power plants lying at the two ends of supply chain are in the weak situation compared with the brokers who gain higher profit for the monopoly of fuel collection and transportation. Therefore, effective collaborative mechanism is vital to limit the profit of brokers and achieve reasonable distribution of supply chain profit. Secondly, contract mechanism, information sharing mechanism and revenue sharing mechanism are introduced to formulate new collaborative mode and further allocate revenue coordinately between different profit groups of the supply chain based on Shapley value. Research shows that various interest groups can gain higher profit under three mechanisms to achieve Pareto improvement. This paper first constructs the collaborative mechanism of biomass power generation fuel supply chain including government. New research perspective has strong value and frontier. On one hand, the exploration of biomass power generation fuel collection cost adds new elements to the theory of biomass power generation cost, which highlights its theoretical value. On the other hand, the construction of collaborative profit distribution model provides new ideas and new ways for further optimization of biomass power generation supply chain. Research on collaborative mechanism has positive practical significance to dissect the structure of biomass power generation industry and provide theoretical support for the formulation of reasonable electricity price policies and financial subsidy policies.
