Bidding Strategies For Electric Power Companies In Electric Market Environment

In the electricity market, power plants become independent, self-financing entity, it can achieve the maximization of enterprise income by the strategy of bidding. How to develop electricity bidding strategy has become urgent problem for power plants. So, it is necessary to carry out the research on power plant bidding strategy and analysis of power plants strategic behavior in electricity market.This paper first discusses the concept of power market, analyzes the formation and development of electricity market, and summarized the characteristics of the electricity market, operation mode and the characteristics of the electric power industry reform. Then, aiming to several bidding models of power plants in electricity market in China, the bidding strategy based on game theory is put forward for the market situation in different distributed power plants. The minimum price addition method of bidding strategies is also proposed and the price offering step is formed. The examples for bidding strategy under complete information and incomplete information are carried on the analysis and comparison and verification. Especially, the static game model and dynamic game model under complete information and their optimal solutions are focused studied. Finally, the math models for different power plants of different operation target are created. The conclusions in the paper are that the strict checking cost and capturing market business opportunity are the kernel problem for power plant bidding strategy, and that the static game model can improve the competitive fairness and increase purchasing electricity fee of grid company, while the dynamic game model can decrease the purchasing electricity fee of grid company and reduce the competitive fairness of electricity marked.The research achievement has some certain antecedence advancement, which can provide the reference value for similar bidding system.
