The dairy products industry is one of the fastest growing industries in China and promotes the development of domestic primary industry, secondary industry and service industry. With conflicts within China’s dairy industrial chain, many problems have arisen in the industry. With trade liberation process of international dairy market, the increasing amount of imported dairy products have rushed into China and have occupied the market share of China’s dairy markets. The key strategy for China’s dairy industry is to utilize comparative advantage of resource endowments and to establish competitive advantage of China’s dairy industrial policy. With the analysis of influencing factors on regional development of China’s dairy products industry, the thesis aims at providing a reference value for the related decision makers.Chapter 2 of the thesis analyzes the history and development of China’s dairy industry by organizing, calculating, merging, and drafting charts based on, the statistical data of China’s dairy industry, and also makes comparative analysis of dairy cow population, milk production and dairy consumption between China and international markets of typical characteristics with dairy consumption. Chapter 3 makes quantitative and qualitative analysis of regional distribution and development of dairy industry. Chapter 4 analyzes the influencing factors on the regional development of dairy products industry based on some related economic theories. Chapter 5 conducts empirical research of the regional development of dairy products industry. Chapter 6 summaries the research results and puts forward some policy recommendations for the dairy products industry.
