Shanxi Province is animportant coal energy base in our country, It has rich coal resources. However,It also paid a huge environmental cost. Destruction of geological structurebecause of excessive mining of coal resources, pollution of ecologicalenvironment because of no-scientific combustion and emissions, wastes ofenergy resources because of the high pollution emissions and extensivedevelopment model for the coal industry, make the coal resource-based regionsbecome one of the most serious regions of the destruction of ecologicalenvironment. To meet the demand for energy of all areas of development, ourcountry’s energy consume will still give priority to coal resources in the a longperiod of future. The contradiction between traditional development mode ofcoal resources and coal resource-based regional ecological environment willbe more and more prominent. Unbalanced ecosystem problem such as the landdamage, air pollution, water damage, the surface collapse,not only threatenhuman health, also threatens to the sustainable development of the region. Tochoose the construction of ecological civilization which is the only way to sortthe contradictions out. So the construction of ecological civilization of the coal resource-based regional is urgent to the coordinated development betweenhuman and nature.
