Since the21st century,with the eastward expansion of NATO,the strengthening of America-Japan alliance and that of America-Australia allicance,the rapid rise of India and the tendency of Russia’s rise again,the world has presented a news political situation that the West is strong while the East is wek and analogously,the North is strong and the South is weak.China,which made trade and cultural exchanges with Arab countries through the ancient Silk Road and gradually established a traditional all-weather friendship as early as2000years ago,can not form a kind of soft restriction until strengthen cooperation with developing countries including Arab states.In the context of China’s own development,its economy maintains a satisfactory trend of rapid growth but the energy shortage problem also emerges.Given trade partner in China’s economic development, it is Arab countries with rich oil and gas resources including the Middle East that should be paid more attention.Arab countries, whouse Industrial base is weak,need import most of the daily products and producer goods.The case where China’s advantage lies and where Arab countries’ disadvantage lies shows the chance of complementarity, leading a strong demand for economic cooperationand development.In September2013, Xi jinping, chairman of China, proposed theidea of "new Silk Road Economic Belt". The construction of a"newSilk Road Economic Belt", coupled with a strong geopoliticaleconomic value, plays a role in taking advantage of "One Belt And OneRoad ". It is great opportunity for China-Arab, especially for rapideconomic and social development, to strengthen the diversecooperation among countries in favor of “OBABR” by means ofcomplementary advantages in order to achieve win-win situation.Under this background, studying the China-Arab economiccooperation and trade development has important practicalsignificance. At present, research on economic and trade cooperationbetween central Asia of core area and China by scholars has beendone more than on Arab countries of external ring from theperspective of geography. Based on those above, this study attemptsto fill the blank of this field so as to provide some meaningfulsuggestions for the development of China-Arab cooperation. The fulltext is divided into seven parts, the main contents of which are asfollows:The first part mainly introduces the research background, thesignificance of selected topic, research methods and relevantliterature review.The second part introduces the corresponding theoreticalsupport, providing theoretical basis for the following research.The fourth part analyzes the development history and presentcondition of China-Arab. The characteristics of co-development, the main items in cooperation trade, the status of the two sides in trade,and critical areas and countries with regard to cooperation have beenstudied in current situation part.The fifth part introduces the main challenge the China-Arabcooperation development faces, some own existence question as wellas outside interference factors and so on.The sixth part introduces, in view of the problems and challengesappearing in the process of the China-Arab cooperation, thecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions, which provides thereference for further friendly China-Arab development.The seventh part serves as conclusion that makes a generalsummary to full text, pointing out what is insufficient in the process ofthe whole research and what needs further improvement.
