In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the negative impact of fossil fuels has become increasingly prominent, as a clean and easily accessible renewable energy, fossil energy has become one of the most important alternative energy sources. Chinese government has introduced a number of policies to protect the rapid development of wind power, however, due to the randomness and volatility of wind power, its integration has brought a series of adverse effects to the grid. Therefore, there are different views of the community about whether we should vigorously promote the development of wind power and other renewable energy sources or not. For example, there are different views on priority scheduling impact of wind power on the power system in terms of energy efficiency. On one hand, as a kind of renewable energy, wind power integration saves the consumption of fossil energy, and improves energy efficiency of the system; on the other hand, wind power integration brings great peaking pressure and extra costs to the system, and reduces the energy efficiency of existing thermal power units. So, what is the impact does wind power integration have on the energy efficiency of the power system, and how much is it? This article is going to solve the problem.This paper studies the status of priority scheduling and existed problem of China’s wind power. According to the actual situation in China, the paper propose objectives and requirements of China’s wind power priority scheduling, summarizes the management status and achievements of wind power priority scheduling, and on this basis, points out the problem that still need to solve in wind power priority scheduling, analyzes the problem of wind power priority scheduling from the macroSecondly, this paper analyzes the impact mechanism between wind power system priority scheduling and the energy efficiency of power system. Based on the introduction of the connotation of energy efficient systems, the paper analyzes the systemmic fuel costs, thermal power peaking, spinning reserve and the reserve impact of wind power on the system to predict the level of energy efficiency under wind power priority scheduling.Then, this article introduces the model building and empirical analysis under the target of highest systemmic energy efficiency in the wind power priority scheduling. taking into account the probability of wind power forecasting models and models based on spare capacity was constructed as an indicator of energy intensity target function; empirical analysis of selected power consumption and discard rates and wind energy intensity three indicators, under the original scenario and further increase participation peaking hydropower and thermal power two scenarios comprehensive analysis of technological progress, and ultimately get the simulation results, which showes that as the proportion of wind power increases, the system power consumption and energy intensity will be reduced, but the rate of abandoned wind will increase.
