Ecological land is the carrier of social and economic sustainable development and ecological civilization construction. As the disturbance of global climate change and human activities, the number of ecological land and ecosystem services depredated seriously, especially the ecological land located in the rapid urbanization area.Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration is an important part of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River City Group and it is China’s resource-saving with environment-friendly building and national innovation demonstration zone. It’s ecological land is an important resource conditions means supporting regional ecological environment and urban development, but the current land use management and research focuses on the study of individual ecological land types, what’s more, the lack of integration of research on the ecological effects of land use change and its change, research methods and means to focus remote sensing and spatial analysis of statistical level, the lack of the study of mathematical analysis and a theoretical model. In this case, by virtue of the ecological civilization construction and landscape ecology theory, data envelopment analysis and structural equation modeling are integrated and the remote sensing and statistical data base are used to probe the three aspects of research objects of Chang-zhu-tan ecological land use:(1) Chang-Zhu-tan ecological land change in temporal and spatial scale; (2) changes in Chang-Zhu-tan ecological land landscape pattern and ecological services functions; (3) the driving mechanism of Chang-Zhu-tan ecological land change. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Paddy fields and woodland is the largest proportion land type in 1986-2005 in Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration In addition to dry land arable land, the farmland and woodland area in Chang-zhu-tan Area is more stable. The area of wetlands, meadows and orchards reduce more dramatiscally. From the view the whole time period from1986 to 2005, the average annual change rate of ecological land is 0.120%, which is a relatively slow variation.(2) From 1986 to 2005, the landscape diversity indices decreased while the fragmentation indices rose; rising landscape evenness and declined dominance indices indicate that land landscape pattern measurements evenly distributed, the proportion of larger pattern number declined, such as farmland.(3) Due to over rapid urbanization and ecological land occupation, the total ecological land service value is RMB1.0019 billion in 1986 and fell to RMB 0.993 million in 2005. Ecological land ecosystem service value of different types has heterogeneous changes, among which, the value of the grassland ecosystem services have been declining.(4) There is a close correlation between the Response changes of landscape pattern of land use and ecosystem services in Chang-Zhu-tan.In terms of the period from 1986 to 2005, land use pattern indices increased from 0.1398 in 1986 to 0.5272 in 2005 while the ecological services function indices decreased from 0.5020 in 1986 to 0.2268 in 2005.In addition, the heterogeneity of landscape pattern of land use change indices increased while the heterogeneity of the ecosystem services indices decreased. The overall indices of landscape pattern and ecosystem services of land-use change fluctuated in the period of 1986-2005.(5) Natural and socio-economic factors are the main driving forces of indices changes of landscape and ecological services. Natural driving forces (referred as temperature and precipitation) and the contribution factor of precipitation is 0.87 and the temperature 0.83. the correlation coefficients between the socioeconomic driving forces and three impacting elements (referred as population growth, GDP and urbanization) are 0.94,0.86 and 0.80 respectively, which indicate that the main natural driving mechanism of land use pattern and ecological service function change is the precipitation and the socioeconomic factors is population growth. In terms of direct driving force, the natural forces are the main driving forces the main driving forces of changes of land landscape pattern while the socioeconomic factors are the main forces of land use ecological service function indices; the total driving force of land use pattern and ecological response indices is consistent with the direct driving force rank of land use landscape pattern and ecosystem services. This paper can provide scientific methods and decision making for strengthening of urban ecosystem services, land use planning and management urban clusters sustainable development, etc..
