Rural tourism has developed more than 100 years in foreign countries, as a form of tourism, it has been prefered by people in American, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, etc. With the development of rural tourism abroad, the research on rural tourism made by scholars has made abundant achievements, and it reaches at a mature stage.The developmen of.rural tourism in China started from 1980 s. Its development not only enriches the forms of tourism, and also promots the economy, at the same time, impells the employment of tourism destination.At first, the rural tourism in our country has been developed mainly spontaneously, and farmers established attraction spots by themselves, taking folk customs culture of tribal village as the chief resources. With the rapid developing of urbanization, the rural tourism appeared in the suburban areas of developed city, mainly to meet the city residents’ needs to feel the farmhouse style, to relax and breathe the fresh air. Rural tourism has become the focus of the suburban tourism development, and it can not only meet the growing tourism demand of urban residents, but also solve the farmers’ employment problem in the construction of the new-type urbanization.With the planning of Zhengzhou international airport and and the development of metropolitan district, the urban population of Zhengzhou is becoming larger and larger, and the capacity of urban population increases, the large groups of urban residents become the main target tourists of the rural tourism. The rural tourism has become one of the important tourism forms in Zhengzhou. Huiji district in Zhengzhou city, located in the most north of Zhengzhou city, on the southern bank of the mother river- the Yellow River, and in the west is Xingyang, in the east is the Zhengdong new district, in the south is Jinshui district. The roads in this area have formed a network, connecting the west and the east, running through the north and the south, which can provide a convenient traffic to get to each country in Huiji district for the development of rural tourism. Huiji district has developed the rural tourism vigorously, with its unique natural advantages- the Yellow River gold belt, and regional traffic advantages,.In 2013, it has got the reputation as one of the "national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration counties". Huiji district has developed a batch of well-known rural tourism scenic areas, such as gold land household, fujing ecological garden, fengle farmland, lvyuan scenic spot, Sijitongda ecological garden, Yellow River household, etc.Since the year of 2000, the rural tourism of Huiji district has developed rapidly. In the following ten years, its development achieved certain results, listed in the forefront of the city, which plays an important role in promoting of the formation of Recreational Belt Around Metropolis of Zhengzhou, and developing of suburbs tourism in Zhengzhou. Although Huiji district has obtained certain achievements, there still are some resticting problems exsited in rural tourism developing. This paper mainly reviews and analyzes the literature material, the data of industry department in charge of tourism, and then sums up the basic theory of the rural tourism development, makes an analysis of the rural tourism development research home and abroad, and combined with the development background of rural tourism of Zhengzhou, designs the questionnaire, fulfils the field survey in the rural tourism attractions in Huiji area, according to the national standard "the tourism resources classification, investigation and evaluation", evaluates main rural tourism resource in Huiji areas.The paper also analyzes the product model of rural tourism in Huiji district; the function, the advantages and the space layout of the rural tourism attractions in Huiji district; the tourists demographic, the statistical analysis of tourist behavior and tourist satisfactioin of the rural tourism attractions in Huiji district. And at last analyzes the management structure of the rural tourism attractions in Huiji district. According to the research on current situation, the paper finally puts forward the development countermeasures, to solve the problems of rural tourism in Huiji district, providing certain reference for the future development of rural tourism in Zhengzhou city. At the same time, it also has a certain realistic guiding significance to the rural tourism development in Zhengzhou city.
