A Research On Innovative Model Of Small Town Construction-based On The Case Analysis Of “Key Town” In Renqiu

After the financial crisis happened in 2008,the development of world economic tends to be very slow,China is also deeply influenced by the significant slowdown of global economic growth trend.Due to the lack of pulling power from international trades,stimulating domestic demand has become an important guarantee for China’s economic growth.Urbanization, seen as the main way of stimulating domestic demand,has great potential to be developed.Under the background of China’s urbanization is in the condition of developing steadily and being transformative,small town plays an important role which links urban and rural areas like "urban tail, rustic head".Small town improves the transformation of rural surplus labor and capital,also provides new space for China’s industrial restructuring and development.Small town is also helpful to achieve the optimal combination and rational flow of production factors,city’s advanced concepts,production technology and management experience deliver to rural places while rural agricultural transfers to urban in order to achieve the integration of urban and rural development.Development of small cities and towns has great significance on the development of regional economy,achievement of coordinated economic development,realization of farmers’ local transfer,rapid promotion of urbanization and other strategic issues.It has great impetus for achieving sustainable development and breaking the urban-rural dual structure of our country. In particular, at this stage,the big city urbanization in China has reached a relatively high level, "big city disease" has begun to expose,some cities have to limit their sizes.The task of big cities will focus on optimizing the development methods to improve the quality of urbanization while the role of small towns become increasingly prominent in the aspects of absorbing surplus labor force from rural and being responsible for economic growth.Therefore,innovative small town development mode which based on our country has to be explored as soon as possible.This paper discusses the importance of small town and major obstacles currently exist.I analyze "The key town" construction in Renqiu City as a main case study while comparing the small town construction experiences of internal and external in order to explore a scientific path of small town construction suiting China’s national conditions.Research methods used in this paper include literature review, comparative analysis and case study.The paper is composed of four parts.The first part introduces the research background,significance of the paper on both practical and academic aspects,research objectives,research methods.Based on the literature review which summarizes the current domestic and international gains about small town development, I have the whole idea of this paper.The second part defines the scope of related concepts about small towns and urbanization,describes the history and the current situation of small town and summarizes small town development types.In this part,I also indicate the clear roles that urbanization and small town played, small towns development models are also discussed in this chapter.The third and fourth parts are the focus of this paper.The third part discusses the Renqiu “Key Town” construction mode based on the information obtained through field surveys,as well as summarizes the ideas,main approaches,innovations and the big significance of Renqiu "key town" construction.In the fourth part,I talk about the implications of Renqiu "key town" mode for the innovative models of small towns from the macroscopic view: the government should work from the top design and construction ideas. Finally, I provide the suggestions for the institution-building and policy of small town construction in combination with the inspiration shown in the Renqiu "Key Town" construction.
