Problems And Countermeasures In The Planning And Construction Of Small Towns

It is an important guidance for the development of the party and government to control the development scale of the big cities, to develop the medium cities and to develop the small cities. Since the reform and opening up, with the continuous improvement of the urbanization level,city development continues to expand the scale of city population increasing, the city continues to highlight, traffic congestion, environmental pollution, high housing prices. The appearance of these urban problems has greatly reduced the quality of people's lives, which is contrary to the original intention of "Better City, better life", which hinders the sustainable development of cities. Actively develop small towns,take the road of new urbanization is an important measure in line with China's current reality, but also an important part of the integration of urban and rural development, the vital interests of the broad masses of the people.This paper first describes the relevant concepts and theoretical basis for the development of small towns,the small town planning and development of China's achievements,points out the existing problems in the development of small towns planning,systematic analysis of the cause of the problem. By drawing on the successful cases of small town planning and development at home and abroad, this paper explores the future development of small towns. This paper takes Jiangsu city of Changzhou Province as an example,comprehensively and objectively introduces the current situation of small town planning and development in Changzhou city; from macro and micro point out the problems of development; from the prospective of planning and design, perfecting the system of laws and regulations, the establishment of public participation mechanism,ecological environment and traditional culture protection etc. starting with their own reality and explore a line with the actual Changzhou small town development road.
