The industry of Certified Public Accountant(CPA) provides accounting information assurance and related services, and with its professional characteristics it plays an important role in the supervision system of market economy. The industry starts late but makes significant progress and achievement as China’s economy develops. With China’s admission to the WTO, the International "Big Four" accounting firms are moving fast into the domestic market, bringing significant threats and challenges on its Chinese counterparts. As such, State government sets forth series of polices and takes measures to encourage home firms to expand and strengthen, further gaining ground in market economy.As a large-size accounting firm,S Accounting firm features in local market. For more than twenty years since its inception, the firm, headquartered in Jiangsu Province, has ever been growing. Now there are nine branches in three provinces,ranking 23 in the industry in 2013. Based on principles of good faith, quality first, and top service, through outstanding performance and word of mouth, the firm’s business is recognized by government agencies at all levels and accepted by the market. It wins its clients and establish good standing. With new opportunities and challenges, the firm is required to identify itself in the market and seek a strategic plan to support its expanding and strengthening in the future.This article conducts study based on S Accounting firm. First it gives theoretic information and profile of the firm. Its outside environment is analyzed by using PEST analysis and Five Forces Model. Its strategic direction for future development is prepared through SWOT and its implementation and supporting measures are given. The significance of the article is that developing strategies for accounting industry are integrated into an accounting firm. It tries to resolve practical issues arising out of survival and development of businesses, which is of practical importance.
