The Assessment And Analysis Of Tourism Industry Eco-efficiency Of Qingdao Based On The Theory Of Ecological Footprint

Tourism has been meeting humans’spiritual needs, achieving rapid economic growth, and coming to be the regional pillar industry. At the meanwhile tourism has caused excessive consumption of resources and serious environmental pollution. How to measure and analyze tourism eco-efficiency scientifically and effectively is the precondition of tourism ecological civilization construction, and also been the focus and difficulty of Tourism Research. On the basis of study and analysis of the related theories, methods and research results of tourism eco-efficiency, and taken the characteristics of tourism industry into consideration, this paper combines the single ratio method and the index system method, and makes the tourism income divided by tourism ecological footprint as the value of tourism eco-efficiency. Taken Qingdao city as the empirical research object, by measuring and analyzing the ecological footprint and eco-efficiency of the six sections of tourists’actions respectively during 2011-2013, this paper put forward the countermeasures of sustainable development for each tourism department from the two aspects of tourism consumption and ecological inputs both.The research results show that:(1) From 2011-2013, the tourism ecological footprint of Qingdao are 708171.25 hm2,718596.78 hm2 and 769322.38hm2, showing an increasing trend year by year. From the structure of tourism ecological footprint, tourism catering and traffic ecological footprint account for 80%-96% of the total tourism ecological footprint; these are the most important factors for tourism consumption of nature resources and ecological environment impacts, tourism visiting and shopping follow; tourism accommodation and entertainment account for the smallest proportion of the total tourism ecological footprint. (2) From 2011-2013, the tourism eco-efficiency of Qingdao are 96218.26Yuan/hm2、112382.92 Yuan/hm2�'� 121821.50 Yuan/hm2, showing an increasing trend year by year too. There are big gaps between the ecological efficiency values of the six departments of tourism; among them, entertainment and accommodation’s ecological efficiency rank highest level, shopping and visiting follow, catering and traffic’s ecological efficiency rank lowest level. (3) The main factors influencing the level of Qingdao tourism eco-efficiency are:tourism consumption intensity, tourism consumption structure, the scale of tourists, the average length of stay for visitors in Qingdao, tourism dietary requirements and diet structure, the hotel rating, the accommodation scale, the hotel bed occupancy, the type of transport, travel distance, the designation of scenic spots, the quality of tourism commodity, the tourism commodity market norms and so on. Based on these factors, this paper provides the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the sustainable development of tourism industry to Qingdao.
