Research On Private Bank Business Development Of Chinese Commercial Bank

As a highly profitable business, private banking business are chased by commercial banks both at home and abroad. According to Report of 2013 global private banking and wealth management, in the next two years, the world main commercial banks will develop new customers in China’s wealthy market. While the real private banking business in China started at 2007. There is still a huge gap between China’s commercial banks and the centuries-old foreign commercial banking giant such as Citigroup, HSBC,in spite of six of rapid expansion in private banking business.Under the background that private banking of China’s commercial banks is growing in full swing, we carried out a discussion and study on the current situation of private banking of China’s commercial banks using strategic management approach. First of all, we analyzed strategies of private banking carried out by commercial banks from the internal and external environment based on SWOT models and PEST model. We highlighted the fast increase of rich class in the economic development of our country and strategic transformation of China’s commercial banks under the policy environment forced offers enormous opportunities to the development.Meanwhile, the domestic commercial banks is subjecting to foreign commercial banks giant huge competition, when they develop the private banking business. Therefore, this paper offer strengthening cooperation with foreign private banking, building a complete talent and professional team, perfecting marketing system of private banking business, improving laws and regulations and so on. And,We emphasize the importance and necessity to establish a dynamic risk control system.
