Study On The International Competitiveness Of Chinese International Contractors From 2009 To 2013

“Going out” strategy has widened the path of the international project contracting market for China. With years of exploration and efforts, Chinese international contractors have accumulated plenty of international experience and achieved outstanding results.Recently, from the information of Top 250/225 International Contractors published by “Engineering News Record” of the United States, it is known that the shortlisted Chinese international contractors have steady growth in number and business scale,and increasingly expansion in business distribution and regional market development, and enhancement in competition power.With the implementation of the global economic integration, Chinese international contractors have developed fast in the international market,but still have a big gap compared with western developed countries such as Europe and the United States, which needs to improve comprehensive competitiveness.Therefore, it is a new challenge for Chinese international contractors in the future to solid position in the international market,clear the development direction and improve the international competitiveness.It has a practical significance to study on international competitiveness of Chinese international contractors.This paper expounded on the research status at home and abroad,cleared the direction and achievements of research on the competitiveness in the international project contracting market,and researched the situation of the international competitiveness of Chinese international contractors. Based on the information of Top 250/225 International Contractors from 2009 to 2013, the development situation, business pattern change and regional market pattern change of international contractors and Chinese international contractors were analyzed, and their competitiveness performance were further probed.Method to judge the competitiveness of international contractors and strategy to enhance the enterprise competitiveness were put forward, applying the theory of enterprise niche.Taking regional markets as the research background,the international market status,the degree of competition and the market development ability of international contractors were researched from the macroscopic angle,and the clustering analysis on the international competitiveness of other contractors was made, and the competitiveness of Chinese international contractors in regional markets was analyzed.Finally,recommendations of strategies to improve the international competitiveness of Chinese international contractors was put forward through comparative analysis.
