TCM(traditional Chinese medicine) has a long history and is rich in resource, but the industry is not mature,international market share is not high, the large-scale Chinese enterprises whose quantity is few are still in the primary stage of international development. With the deepening of economic globalization, especially the gradual transformation of the concept of health, the industry of Chinese medicine will inevitably have to walk the track of international development with an increasingly competitive market.The research object of this paper is traditional Chinese medicine industry, it focuses on the study of the path and advancing internationalization strategy. First, from the departure of industrial internationalization’s concept and comparison, summed the phase of international development,followed by the perspective of introduction of industrial internationalizing, elaborated from the objects and features of industry internationalizing sand the content of industry internationalization strategy, as a starting point of the full text to make theoretical study have some practical significance, followed from the pharmaceutical industry to achieve international expansion path with internal and external factors, then is the in-depth analysis of the current situation in the traditional Chinese industry, through the industrial development of traditional Chinese medicine in Tianjin and Guang Dong province experience, the paper makes out the strategic framework of traditional Chinese medicine industry’s internationalization growth.Through these studies, the paper pointed out:(1)The TCM industry in recent years has a rapid development in general, but the inside of the industry is not mature, the export system is not standardized, which is easily affected by foreign trade barriers, but the policy support and the rapidly growing international market demand still have great impact on its development,opportunities and challenges coexists;(2)The TCM industry’s internationalization mainly embodied in products exported overseas, the enterprise transnational management, global resource allocation and value concept of the popularity, and its way of realizationof the four types can be divided into resource predominance, technological progress, government push and market pull type;(3)The case series analysis proved that the current TCM enterprises are still in theprimary stage of international development, regardless of their unmatured size and international experience. Thus TCM enterprises are in the choice of internationalization path, considering the characteristics of the target market, the level of self-development, products and other factors, to select the appropriate path.(4) Overall, the internationalization of TCM industry can take the "four step" developing road, that is standardization, modernization, the internationalization of the initial stage and internationalization, the development characteristics of each stage, the main contents and basic requirements of each are not identical, thus the recommendations were taken continuously promote corresponding strategies and measures.
