Accordingly, multiple transportation modes get gradual increase in the market, such as railway, rolling ships and container ships with the feature of low cost, large volume, low energy consumption and less pollution, and become the important part of future complete vehicle transportation market. The thesis will introduce the combined transportations including road-railway, road-container, road-rolling ship, etc. By analyzing their advantages and disadvantages, this thesis will give explanations in choosing the subsequent transportation mode.Different combination of the transportation modes will affect the cost structure. This thesis will subdivide the cost structure of different transportation modes based on the research on present situation. The final purpose of this thesis is to give instructive and reasonable transportation modes advice for complete vehicle transportation with large batches by multi-objective modeling on the cost, delivery and quality of different transportation modes in 3 different areas combined with the present situation of the third party logistics. |
