A Research On China’s Bancassurance Development Under The New Bancassurance Regulation

Our country’s bancassurance market has experienced rapid development through more than ten years. The bancassurance’s premium scale has been increased rapidly, and it has become one of the most important ways for insurance companies. But the bancassurance market is gradually exposing its disadvantages with the increasing bancassurance market share, eg unreasonable develop ways and business structures, also with the sales misleading.In order to promote the bancassurance market growth healthy and sustainablely,CBRC and CIRC has issued series regulations to restrain the behaviors of banks and insurance companies. The regulations mainly focus on consumer’s protection, self-discipline,adjust the bancassurance’s structure and strengthen the supervision.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly introduces the theoretical basis of bancassurance and four main patterns of the cooperation between Banks and insurance companies, also with the economic theory explaining the emergence and development of bancassurance. The second part mainly analysis the current development of bancassurance market in China, and analyses the main problems existing in the bancassurance market. The third part first analysis the main content of the new bancassurance regulation, and then illustrates the short-term and long-term effects to China’s bancassurance market in detail.Through the analysis of the former three parts, the fourth part mainly put forward the measures and suggestions to bancassurance market in China, this paper argues that we should further bancassurance cooperation mode, adjust the bancassrance business structure actively,innovative marketing mode, strengthen supervision and establish a new image of the bancassurance.In order to regulate the bancassurance market all-around, and promote the healthy and long-term development of the bancassurance market in our country.
