| Since the strengthening county economy put forward at the Party’s 16 th National People’s Congress, as the fundamental unit of national economy during the process of comprehensively constructing well-off society, it has become a main object and an important task of the overall development. Jiangsu Province is in a critical period to take the lead in realizing modernization forward and deepen the reform and opening up, accelerate the transformation of economic development. In this context, the thesis studies the province’s county as the basic unit of economic analysis of its economies of scale and efficiency of coo rdinated development pattern.Respectively measure county economic units in Jiangsu Province from 2000 to 2012 in terms of its economic scale and efficiency composite scores by means of factor analysis; according to the coordinated development of the model to calculate the coordinated development degree between the county economic scale and efficiency; use spatial autocorrelation analysis of the coordinated development of spatial correlation between the county economic scale and efficiency. The study found that the scale and efficiency of county economic development in Jiangsu province is at low level. The majority of region is in disorder while the transitional and coordinated development region is lesser. What’s more, in terms of space level, it belongs to positive global spatial autocorrelation. In some local areas showing a significant high- high(H-H), high- low(H-L), low-high(L-H), low- low(L-L) clustering features, including high- high and low- low local clustering type-based, and high- high clustering regions are located in Southern Jangsu, low- low clustering regions are located in Northern Jangsu, the Mid Jangsu in the local clustering feature is not obvious. Finally, according to the analysis results, this paper puts forward some countermeasures to promote the scale and efficiency of the coordinated development of county economy in Jiangsu province. |
