Since the 1960 s, along with the economic development by leaps and bounds, the whole environment has been getting worse and worse. The shortage of resources, waste and consumption constitute a serious threat to the human survival and sustainable development. How to eliminate the ecological crisis is a difficult problem which is eager to solve for every country. Marx had used the combination of logic and history to discuss the basic relation between human and nature, and had put forward that the human production activities must follow the law of nature. Under the condition of uniting the social productive forces and natural productive forces, we can fundamentally solve the imbalance of human and nature. The productivity of human will have the development’s meaning and purpose. Under the background of economic globalization, ecological productivity as the trend and direction of human development has gradually changed people’s development idea, led the economic and social transformation and strived to achieve green, circulation and sustainable development path, which all will build the foundation of ecological civilization and carry out and implement the scientific outlook on development. All of which will embody the people-oriented essence to establish the overall harmony in “people-society-nature”. The thesis has mainly discussed the historical materialism, theory of productive forces and ecological idea. On the basis of combing the modern productivity development, the thesis has summarized the ecological connotation of the productive forces and analyzed the ecological development and path selection. Finally the thesis goes back to the materialism, probe into the relationships among people and people, people and society, man and nature which cause the influence in the whole system.
