President Xi Jinping proposed the strategic concept of constructing "The Silk Road economic belt" in 2013. And in the same year, “The Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Important Issues of Comprehensively Deepening Reform” has clearly stated to promote the task of constructing “The Silk Road economic belt”. Xinjiang is the core region of "The Silk Road economic belt", and its trade cooperation with Central Asian countries is the key areas of the strategy. By optimizing the trade cooperation paths of Xinjiang and Central Asian countries, the trade cooperation can achieve the higher level with the guide of these paths, the regional economic integration process can be promoted, too. It will have an important demonstration effect to the other countries located in the "Silk Road economic belt".This paper describes the existing theory of regional economic cooperation, elaborates the meaning of trade cooperation paths. From the history, the current situation and problems, the paper describes the trade cooperation of Xinjiang and Central Asian countries, and depicts the real path of trade cooperation from the positioning, trade conduit construction, financial support and coordination mechanisms. Selected the level of trade integration, the level of trade facilitation, the level of trade structure and the level of trade benefit as four dimensions, using the method of PCA analyzes the performance of trade cooperation paths, discusses the current cooperation path flaws and constraints. Combined with the position of Xinjiang in "The Silk Road economic belt", according to the goals and principles of trade cooperation, put forward the corresponding realization paths. At the end, gives the safeguards of the paths from policy communications, channel diversification and currency circulation.Based on the above, we draw the following conclusions:(1) In the framework of the SCO, the trade cooperation with Central Asian countries has achieved some goals, but the slow process of institutionalization, the current regional trade between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries is still in the early stages of trade facilitation, the power of cooperation is still reflected in the function-driven;(2) the structure of trade between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries still has not improved greatly, the level of trade facilitation is only increased the trade diversion, and no significant trade creation effect occurs;(3) to reach the goal of building China and Central Asian multilateral free trade area, by strengthening the infrastructure, selecting the key country, improving the industrial structure, promoting regional financial and monetary cooperation and building coordination and cooperation between the path multidimensional sound like.
