Competitiveness is the important symbol to reflect the industry potential quality and development. Tourism industry is an important economic characteristic of the tourism, plays significant role in promoting its healthy and stable development of national economy. Since the reform and opening up, China’s tourism had obtained rapid development, more and more attention to the tourism development given by internal provinces, tourism competition of the provinces has became increasingly fierce, regional competition is also more obvious and deep. How to based on its actual situation, build competitive advantage, has become today’s pressing matter of the regional tourism development, and also the key to win in the new round of competition in tourism.Regional tourism industry competitiveness is the distinction advantage and regional comprehensive quality of some tourism industry inflected to other regional tourism industry competition.It is the business strength established in the natural resources and regional tourism industry, based on the management level, also influenced by regional social, political, economic, environmental and other external environmental factors.The evaluation of regional tourism competitiveness of Xinjiang can define t he Competitive strength, Its strengths and weaknesses, thus by finding the gap between itself and the tourism developed area, excavate the hidden potential of development, release the dominant competitive advantages. In this paper, on the basis of previous studies, use competitive advantage theory, the regional tourism system theory, core competitiveness theory, tourism sustainable development theory constructed the evaluation index system of the Xinjiang regional tourism industry competitiveness, also based on the relevant statistical data, compared by using the AHP method of the core competitiveness, the basic competitiveness and environmental competitiveness and the importance of each factor, quantitative e valuated the Xinjiang regional tourism competitiveness level. For gain the great development capacity and competitiveness in the Xinjiang tourism industry competitiveness, should focus on mainly to excavate and enhance the competitiveness of Xinjiang regional tourism industry, provide strong support to achieve the ultimate goal of building the strong tourism province.Look by the index Weight and Score results of each influencing factor of Xinjiang regional Tourism industry competitiveness, The final score of the core competitiveness was 7.012 points, The final score of the basic competitiveness was 5.975 points, The final score of the environmental competitiveness was 4.715 points. This shows the core competitiveness is the key to quickly improve the overall competitiveness of Xinjiang regional tourism industry. And it’s influence to the Regional tourism industry competitiveness is very obvious. The regional tourism industry of Xinjiang has the great development ability and the competition ability, has strong potentiality in achieving the sustainable development of tourism industry. However, Although the overall tourism development is better, But there is a big gap between some specific factors and advanced regions. Therefore, To achieve the sustainable development of Xinjiang tourism industry, The constraints and practical issues should be resolved soon.,And focus on cultivating core competitiveness,Strengthen the basic competitiveness, improve the competitiveness of the environment, and thus achieve the ultimate goal of the Tourism Zone construction.
