The high turnover rate of hotel staff has been a headache problem affecting the development of industry. Research on career growth has significant significance for the hotel human resource management. It helps to maintain a stable organizational structure, attract and retain talented employees and maintain the competitiveness of enterprises. The hotel is the enterprise that provided services for guests, many things should to be done by human. The hotel product has its special identity that producing and consuming simultaneously. The specificity needs employees maintain a high degree of job involvement when working. As such, the research on career growth and Job involvement has important practical and theoretical significance. Based on the literature review, with the theory of “stimulusresponse- cognitive ” for model building in psychology, With social cognitive theory, social exchange theory and expectancy theory,the paper established the relationship model between career growth and job involvement.Taking the hotel employee in Xiamen and Quanzhou area as the research object, using the method of variance analysis and multiple regression analysis for the empirical research.At first, the paper used factor analysis to probe the structure of hotel employee’s career growth and job involvement, and analyzed the differences of career growth and job involvement among hotel employee’s individual character. The study found that hotel employee’s career growth is a concept of three-dimensional structure. It included progress in the career objectives, development on the vocational ability and enhancement about position and salary. Job involvement is a concept of three-dimensional structure included energy, focus, and dedication. Then there are significant differences in the three dimensions of career growth and job involvement among different individual characteristics of employees.At last, it found that career growth has significant negative correlation with job involvement, especially the influence of enhancement about position and salary in the most significant. The progress in the career objectives and enhancement about position and salary are interaction with job involvement.The expectations of conformity played a regulation role in the degree of impact on job involvement to career growth. With the increase of expectations, that the career growth of employee within the organization had a less impact on job involvement significantly.
