The Research On The Mode Of Energy Performance Contracting Financing Project

Energy Efficiency financing, an important part of green credit, is a kind of new financing project serving investments in Energy efficiency projects and clean energy projects. And contract energy management financing projects is also an important class in energy efficiency financing. Industrial Bank is the first business bank in china that cooperates with International Finance Corporations in green credit, and is also the first one to carry out energy efficiency financing business.Firstly, this paper elaborates the externality theory, energy management contract financing mode and Shapley value method which is used widely in the study on distribution of the benefits of cooperative games. And then, relevant literature were summarized. Secondly, this paper selects case about the XE Energy Services Ltd. contract energy management financing projects of Industrial Bank and introduce the case from the aspect of industry, company and projects. Thirdly, the paper analyzes the project approval, operation mode, game of participants and the profit of project. The game mode occurring in the case is argued through theoretical derivation, and theoretical benefit distribution scheme and actual NPV for parties involved is calculated by Shapley value and NPV methods. At last,the conclusion is drawn and suggestions about green finance development are made from macro to micro dimensions.Study in this paper shows that the project mode in the case is a kind of energy- efficiencysharing EPC, which may bring excess interest to all participants and help achieve a win-win. Participants in this mode are in a cooperative game. Besides, the project in this case shows problems such as single EPC credit mode, limited means of risk control, etc. and in the process of business development, the company also encountered difficulties in financing and professional team building and so on.
