The Planning Practice Of Circular Economy Concept In Hezhou China Resource Circular Economy Demonstration Area

Circular economy is considered to be the fundamental change to the mode of traditional economy. It is also the best planning approach to reach sustainability of the industrial park. The idea of circular economy provides guidelines to development forms; it is consistent of a brand new organizational relationship. This thesis undertakes academic research to the Hezhou China Resource Circular Economy Demonstration Area(DA). Since 2010, leading by the green philosophy, the DA believes in that “the development of enterprises must not base on compromising the environmental quality; it must not sacrifice the long term environmental value to reach the short term economy outcomes”. This philosophy has now become the rudiment of circular system. The thesis will start with defining the meaning of circular economy and summarizing DA’s basic characteristics. The case studies, in terms of both domestic and overseas cases will be discussed within the relevant sections. They are significantly helpful to define different points in the field of industrial development, land use and ecological infrastructure. After that, the thesis will go through the empirical analysis of Hezhou China Resource Circular Economy Demonstration Area. It will identify the current development barriers and provide feasible planning strategy. The practice of circular economy will be evaluated from the three aspects, i.e. industrial development, land use and ecological infrastructure. At last, the thesis analysis evaluates the implementation performance of circular economy planning. Furthermore, it will base on the needs of business cycle, land use control, ecological preservation and industrial park development to provide rational recommendations.
