Research On Supplier Grading And Classification Management Of GW Company Based On AHP Method

As one of the worldwide large utilities enterprises and state-owned backbone enterprises, the basic mission of GW company is "Ensure safer, more economical, cleaner, sustainable energy supply". Namely, from the enterprise demand side, the majority of electricity customers and national energy development demand GW company should provide the safe, stable, sustainable product with lower cost. The mission runs through various business activities of GW company and needs the enterprise’s overall synergy to realize. In the process of purchasing, the mission is embodied in the procurement concept as "quality first, reasonable price, integrity and win-win". With the intensive work thorough development of GW company, the environment of supplier relationship management becomes more complex and the task becomes more difficult. In order to better play the supporting role of supplier relationship management in every link of the whole chain and the construction and operation of the power grid, the paper suggests a set of classification management system of GW company based on AHP method, effectively combined with GW company’s characteristic. A three-dimensional classification model is created in order to implement different supplier management strategies for different types of suppliers. The model consists of three dimensions, as qualification, performance and dependence. The establishment of the system will help to reduce the overall supplier management cost, optimize the allocation of related management resources and formulate development measures more focus. Secondly, the system will contribute to guarantee the quality of the equipment and materials and optimize the cost of purchasing, so as to improve the GW company’s internal demand satisfaction on materials supply and enhance the professional influence of material management. Lastly, it will help GW company to further promote the material intensive management.
