The core contents of this study is to explore the relationship between leadership style of the grass-roots company officers(which including the company commanders and the political instructor) and team cohesion. On the basis of the mature scales, we developed the leadership style of scale at the grass-roots company officers and the company cohesion scale in the process of the study. We constructed a causality model of the leadership style the grass-roots company officers impacting the company cohesion. We verified the hypothesis of this study on the 273 valid samples through the following methods, such as factor analysis, variance analysis, independent samples T test, single factor analysis, LSD test, correlation analysis, the path analysis based on structural equation model.The study involved three main variables, which obtain transactional leadership style,transformational leadership style and the company cohesion. Transactional leadership style includes two dimensions: management by exception, contingent reward. Transformational leadership style includes four dimensions: intellectual stimulation, inspiration, leader charm and personalized care.The company cohesion includes three dimensions: emotional consistency,behavioral consistency, and task consistency.The contribution and the main conclusions of the study include the following aspects:Firstly, We developed the leadership style scale and company cohesion scale which are verified have good reliability and validity. On the basis of the mature scales, considering the grass-roots company, we developed the scales which have good reliability and validity through the improvement and correction in the study.Secondly, We tested the causal relationship between transactional leadership style and the company cohesion using structural equation model method, we also tested the causal relationship between transformational leadership style and the company cohesion using structural equation model method.We found that transactional leadership style and management by exception dimensions of the grass-roots company officers have significantly positive effect on the company cohesion and the three dimensions.We found that contingent reward dimension has significantly positive effect on behavioral consistency and task consistency. Besides, We also found that transformational leadership style and inspiration dimensions have significantly positive effect on the company cohesion and the three dimensions. We found that intellectual stimulation and leader charm have significantly positive effect on the company cohesion and behavioral consistency and task consistency. We found that the influence of personalized care dimension to the company cohesion and its three dimensions are not significant.Thirdly, through using structural equation model method divided into groups method, we found that the serving officers ages of of the officers in the grass-roots company has significantly regulatory effect on the relationship between transformational leadership style and the company cohesion. We found that it exists the difference on leadership style among the education and the serving officers ages of the company officers though the difference analysis.We also found that it exists the difference on the company cohesion among the soldier’s rank level...
