In the 21st century, the external environment of enterprise has changed. For most enterprise, scientific and reasonable product development project management has become the key to enterprise development. Therefore, we must make the product development process more scientific and rational.so that more favorable prospects for the development of enterprises. The new products will more fit the demand of the market. And it also can reduce costs, increase efficiency of enterprises.Based on the product development process as the research object, with IPD theoretical basis for research, the suitable theory and tools, to build applied to B company’s product development process theory. Combined with the enterprise practice, discussed the following aspects.This thesis describes integrated product development (IPD) research background and significance, research status at domestic and abroad, describes and explains the research methods and techniques route used in this thesis. After that, introduced the basic theory of IPD, the concept, the core ideology, the overall framework and the six stages of IPD. Also elaborated market management (MM) concepts and basic knowledge and common tools introduced. Then analyze the problem was found in product development in B company. By questionnaire and expert analytical method, find out the problem of B company on p product development, and proceeds the concrete analysis to the existent problem. Take a method optimizing product development aiming at actual problem existing in B company, and built a frame be propitious to product research and development process basing on IPD according to the current status of B company. And then put it as mentioned above, into action in the case of "the second generation" light power Turbo generator.This thesis was established based on the product development process framework IPD is applicable to Company B, in the product development process is mainly applied to the development of CBB and an Asynchronous Development, greatly improving the product development efficiency, reduce product development risk, increase company efficiency. In addition to the above mentioned methods such as questionnaire survey, in the product development process using WBS, SWOT analysis,＄APPEALS tools, Value Engineering and other scientific methods. Finally, by comparing the data, the application of IPD before and after the product development process is described.Based on the IPD theory with Power generation equipment manufacturing enterprises characteristics, carried out a detailed study of its product development process, and achieved a certain application effect.
