After years of development, China became the world’s "centre" of foundry enterprises, domestic OEM business has developed rapidly, and with its own abundant cheap labor, land and raw material resources embedded in global production network. In recent years, however, get rising labor costs and land cost, perfecting laws and regulations, the continued appreciation in the yuan and other external environmental factors, many OEM enterprises originally with the cost advantage has gradually reduced, other such as India, Vietnam and other southeast Asian developing countries instead of domestic OEM, OEM enterprise to undertake the entrust contract business of developed countries. In addition, lower profits together with OEM, greater dependence on the principal problems, therefore, our OEM enterprises there is a need for strategic transformation, in order to realize their own long-term development. In view of this, in the past some scholars on the transformation and upgrading of foundry enterprises specializing in, think it is necessary to enterprise transformation from OEM to ODM and OBM, to change the current manufacturing enterprises in the value chain at the bottom of the situation, so as to realize from the "made in China" to "created in China".Through review the literature of the past, this article first in the study of domestic and foreign scholars about the OEM enterprise independent transformation on the basis of the summary of, found the past research is following the transformation of the traditional OEM, ODM, OBM based on path, although also have the authors point out that enterprise transformation and upgrading path may not strictly according to this path, academic, however, did not come to an agreement, has yet to form a theoretical framework of the system. And, using the literature research and large-scale transformation such as foxconn, giant, galanz successful OEM enterprise case analysis and investigation, but in practice, many OEM business for small and medium-sized enterprises, and it is no matter from the financial and material resources are relatively weak, so that their mode of with large OEM business transformation and upgrading will be different, and the literature has not yet have focus on this question. Based on the above analysis, the purpose of this article is to make up for the lack of previous research, which is used to study the suitable path for transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises model and its influence factors, in order to the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprise OEM to provide certain theoretical value and significance.Writing of this paper are arranged as following:first, the paper introduced the research background, research contents, research significance, research methods, and possible innovations. Secondly, based on the review and analysis of the system transformation and upgrading of previous scholars to the OEM enterprise independent research conclusion, on the basis of discovery and sums up the defects and shortcomings in the study of the literature, and the value chain theory, the theory of global value chain and smile curve theory has carried on the theoretical review. Again, this paper expounds the Anta, Erke and Aokang in the development process of the transformation and upgrading, and try to in the process of transformation and upgrading strategy has carried on the induction, and analysis its attempt to strategy implementation effect, finally summarized their mode of transition from original OEM transformation and upgrading and transformation of success factors, and use three companies upgrade path model display, summarize the successful factors will affect the OEM business transformation and upgrading, entrepreneurial spirit, technology, marketing ability, pay attention to service and quality and production capacity, for our country small and medium-sized OEM business transformation and upgrading path selection to provide the reference and reference. Finally, based on the case study conclusion, to OEM, small and medium enterprises successful transformation and upgrading of our country have some helpful Suggestions, and points out the deficiency existing in this paper, and future study outlook. In this paper, not only in theory has enriched our country enterprise OEM transformation and upgrading of the related research results, and in practice is in a dilemma of domestic OEM enterprise provides some feasible strategic choice, strategic structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading of manufacturing in China also has a certain reference significance.This article possible innovation place mainly reflects in:first, the research on transformation and upgrading of enterprises OEM more focus on large enterprise stronger, and this paper is to focus on the quantity, and under the background of our country’s current economic occupy the important position of small and medium sized foundry enterprises, and through the case study to explore the transformation from OEM to OBM upgrade path and influence factors of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in our country areas is a new research point. Second, past research on the transformation and upgrading of OEM enterprises use the single case analysis method, by choosing a more typical case description and exploration, but due to the inherent limitations, single case study part of the study may only belong to the "individual case", sometimes it is difficult to ensure that its external validity. This article through the comparative analysis of selected multiple case, explores the transformation and upgrading of our local small and medium sized foundry enterprises "with" and "vision" of the path, to small and medium sized foundry enterprises provide reference value transformation and upgrading of the future direction and path.
