An Analysis About The Exhibition Economy’ Competitiveness Of Chengdu Based On The Diamond Model

China has witnessed the exhibition economy’rapid development, forming a new exhibition market in Asia-Pacific region and 5 exhibition economic regions which based on major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, etc.As the key service industry, considering its huge Industrial diffusion effect and economic disparity, Exhibition economy has got more and more attention by the city government. Many cities are taking various measures to promote exhibition economic’ development and Competitive Force. Chengdu’ exhibition economy has maken great progress in recent years, and Chengdu is on the way to be "China Exposition City". But Chengdu’exhibition economy also faces the problem of inadequate of marketization and branding, low continuously developing ability, low internationalization and lack of talents. Exhibition economy is the key factor in the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure for Chengdu, so it’s important to promote Exhibition economy’s competitive force.Potter made the competitive advantage theory which has been widely used in the study of industrial competitiveness, based on the principle of comparative advantage. This article’s analysis begins at the research for cities’competitive force of exhibition economy, analyzes the elements of exhibition economy’s competitiveness for Chengdu based on the competitive advantage theory, builds the evaluation model of exhibition economy’s competitiveness, counts and analyzes the competitiveness index of Chengdu, Chongqing etc. This dissertation contains six chapters:chapter 1 introduction, presents the research background and research significance, analyzes some related articles and information; chapter 2 interpretation of core conceptions and correlation theory, elaborates on the industrial competitive, diamond model, AHP and the information entropy etc; chapter 3 status description of Chengdu exhibition economy, summarize the Chengdu exhibition’s development, empirically analyses the pushing effect to the economy; chapter 4 the factor analysis of Chengdu exhibition economy’s competitiveness, analyses the production factor, the industrial support factor and the government factor; chapter 5 contrastive analysis for Chengdu exhibition economy, creates the evaluation model of exhibition economy’s competitiveness, empirically calculate the competitiveness index of Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou, chapter 6 the research conclusions and policy suggestion, tables the policy suggestion for the promotion of Chengdu exhibition economy.The research shows that:(1) Chengdu exhibition economy develops rapidly, has exhibited a remarkably high correlation with the construction industry, transportation industry, tourism industry and catering industry; (2) as for the competitiveness elements, Chengdu has a soft spot for the government support and industrial support, but is in inferior position from the aspects of management human resource and environment; (3) Chengdu exhibition competitiveness index is higher than Chongqing’s, but under Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou’s. Chengdu’s competition advantages consist in government layer index and support layer index and the disadvantages consist in the core layer and the environment layer.
