High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) are the clients of private banking which provide customized financial products and services to their customers. The private banking need to achieve a global asset allocation to maximize their clients profits. Bank of China decided to do the same business after two years. And it’s the first Chinese commercial bank which did private banking business, and that became a prelude in private bank marketplace of China. Because of the ever-increasing number of HNWIs. The the next 10 years will be the peak period of development of private banking business in China, which becomes more competitive.On one hand,this study explores Xi’an branch’s private banking’s future development strategies;on the other hand it also provide some references to other banks,especially the same nature and scale of the Bank’s private banking business. Xi’an branch’s private banking has been more than four years since the year of 2011.Though its customers in this business today are already twice than the time of 2011,it still has many problems.The object of this study is Xi’an branch’s private banking of Industrial Bank.This study uses the case study method and questionnaire, as well as the literature method.Xi’an branch’s private banking of Industrial Bank has problems such as single variety and shortage of professionals.This study analyzed the cause of its problem, and its strengths,weakness, opportunities and threatens, then proposed the strategies.
