This study choses Beijing advanced equipment manufacturing industry’s business model as an object, and methods have been used includes literature research, surveys, interviews, case studies, and so on. Based on theoretical analysis, it conducted literature study on big data, advanced equipment manufacturing industry and business model; through analyzing each elements of the advanced equipment manufacturing business model, it found the impact of big data on each element, and then the extent to which each elements influence on each part of the entire industry chain is analyzed, which provides theoretical basis for innovation on business model of Beijing advanced equipment manufacturing industry; and then obtained data through conducting field investigations and interviews on Beijing advanced equipment manufacturing enterprises, found problems and optimized and evaluated the application of big data in Beijing advanced equipment manufacturing business model.The paper studied the important concept, business model on management, divided the business model of advanced equipment manufacturing into nine elements, which includes value proposition, customer segments, distribution channels, customer relationships, core resources and capabilities, critical business, important partners, sources of revenue and cost structure, and according to its common character it boiled down to four parts:value proposition, customers level, facilities level and financial level, and then analyzed the impact of big data to these four parts.Also, the paper chose six knowledge-intensive processes out of the whole seven processes of the whole industry chain of advanced equipment manufacturing industry, which are design research and development, raw material procurement, storage and transportation, manufacturing, order processing, wholesale and retail segments. Then the six knowledge-intensive processes were reduced to four aspects:design research and development, logistics, manufacturing and markets, and then analyzed the extent to which the business model impact on these four aspects with big data application. It found that the big data has the strongest influence on front end, then the back end, and the middle end was influenced the mildest.Then, the paper introduced three processes to innovate business mode under the background of the big data:developing manufacturing industry servicizing, building the platform for data collection and data sharing, and using big data to predict the trend of the market. Trough case studies of four relevant companies, the paper verified the theories.Finally, it came with six advice, which were setting up the sense of data safety, enforcing the research of the theory and policy of big data application, launching the communication of the research of business mode, launching Beijing big data application cloud center of advanced equipment manufacturing industry, the policy and capital support from government, and some measures companies should taken.
