With the development of economy, people’s income has a significant increase compared with it in previous years. Therefore, the sum of money people consume grows and the type of consumption is also more various. Consumption is an important factor in promoting the development of national economy. On one hand, with the implement national two-child policy, it will be more prevalent that a family has two or even more children, and generally speaking all of these children will enter universities in the future. The most direct result is a sharp rise of the number of college students. On the other hand, there is no doubt that the consumer group of college students is the most variable and active group among all the consumer groups. Although college students have not achieved the economic independence, their huge consumption potential can’t be ignored. The key is that the consumption of college students has a great deal of uncertainty. Without correct guidance, college students could probably develop habits of unreasonable consumption, and form unhealthy consumption behaviors. Researches have found that the consumption behavior of college students is influenced by means of family financial management education during their childhood, but these researches did not take the effects of individual differences into consideration. This thesis added the variable of self-control ability on the basis of previous researches, exploring the impact of both means of family financial management education and self-control ability on consumption behavior. It is of great significance of guiding college students to scientifically and reasonably consume, and establishing a favorable social consuming atmosphere.This thesis is based on the survey among 350 college students via questionnaires of family financial education, scale of the self-control ability of college students, and consumption behavior of college students. The results of survey are analyzed through difference tests, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and adjective effect analysis. The results show that:(1) Both means of family financial management education and consumption of college students exist gender differences.(2) Means of family financial management education have predictive effects on consumption of college student.(3) Self-control ability has a positive relationship with consumption behaviors of college students.(4) Self-control ability plays a regulatory role between means of family financial management education and consumption behavior of college students.
