Human resource management has become an important part in modern enterprise management. Performance management is the core of human resource management and the fundamental basis for personal decisions. The behavior, through performance management to improve employee performance, thereby improving their overall performance, has attracted much attention of many enterprises. In this paper, we will make a study of performance management. We take X Real Estate Co., Ltd. as the research object. We analyze X’s actual situation basis on the theory of human resource management and performance management. Out of a strategic point of view, we also analyze the outstanding problems that exist in X’s performance management through literature search, field research, theoretical analysis and other ways. Based on this analysis, we explore how corporate performance management can carry out smoothly and establish a viable system to guide the X Real Estate Co., Ltd. performance management practices, thereby enhancing the overall employee performance and X’s business performance.There’re six chapters in this paper. The first chapter is the introduction of the research background and significance, as well as domestic and foreign research, ideas and methods. The second chapter is an overview of performance management which includes its meaning, significance, procedure, commonly used methods and the difference between performance management and evaluation. The third chapter is a profile of X and an analysis about the status and problem of X’s employee performance management.It includes its organizational structure, human resource situation, business performance, future development and the analysis of the problems etc. Chapter Ⅳ is the core of this thesis, which puts forward employee performance management programs for X Real Estate Co., Ltd., including the purpose and principles, the design and so forth. Chapter V proposes several measures to protect the effective implementation of designed programs. The last chapter is the conclusions of this paper.
