Study On Agriculture Cleaner Production Critical Behavior Of Famers Based On Vertical Coordination

With the development of China’s agriculture, food safety and agricultural environmental problems become and more serious. In recent years, pork quality and safety problems occur frequently represented by "Lean meat powder", and the "Dead pigs in Huangpu river" event also sound the alarm of people.In addition, with the rapid development of the large scale pig-breeding, livestock and poultry manure has already become an important pollution sources which we can’t ignore. From the angle of producers, this may mainly due to the extensive mode of production of small farmers for the lack of effective organization, supervision and restraint. So the production mode of small famers is not positive to the quality and safety and the environmental pollution control in the process of breeding. In order to realize the sustainable development of the livestock husbandry in our country, and become a win-win situation of food safety and environmental protection, one way is to change the extensive mode of production in the past, promote the cleaner production and sustainable development; Another way is to organize the small farmers and establish an effective collaborative way to solve the quality safety and environmental pollution problems in the process of breeding. Vertical supply chain should be the key to realize the agricultural cleaner production. Through the vertical coordination, the small famers can be organized and can get guidance, service, supervision, incentive and punishment, so the behavior of small farmers can be optimized and achieve a win-win situation in environmental protection and food safety.Through the research of the predecessors, this paper realize there is a relationship between vertical coordination and farmers agriculture cleaner production, and further realize the relationship between the forms of vertical coordination and farmers cleaner production behavior, and the vertical coordination may have an effect on the interaction relationship between clean production behaviors and the critical behavior.According to the data of 648 pig breeders from Shandong、Jiangsu、Fujian、Jiangxi、Sichuan provinces, this paper gives descriptive analysis of the cleaner production of farmers and the vertical cooperation situation, studying the effect of vertical cooperation on the clean production behavior, and try to find out other factors that affect the cleaner production. In addition, using structural equation model (SEM) to compare the cleaner production behaviors in the different forms of vertical coordination and the critical behavior. The conclusion shows that:The Vertical coordination has a significant positive influence on cleaner production behavior. Besides, the age of farmers, breed experience, breed scale and the farmers cognition about the effects of pig breeding on environment and health of people. In addition, process control and end treatment behaviors are influenced each other in the different vertical coordination relationship.In the Spot market, there are three agriculture cleaner production critical behaviors:disease prevention, the treatment of waste and dead pigs, and the use of feed and feed additive; In the Production contract and Cooperatives, there are two agriculture cleaner production critical behaviors:disease prevention, the treatment of waste and dead pig. Finally based on analysis puts forward countermeasure and suggestions.
