Since wasted household appliances have been in a peak period of renewal in our country, thus it is badly in need of standardized recycle procedures to promote recycling扭头and protect the environment at the same time. However, reverse logistics system in our country is still not perfect and unable to recycle wasted household appliances efficiently. As recycling behavior is the starting point of renewable resources recovery, only do we thoroughly analyze various factors that affect residents’ recycling behavior, we can find ways to build a more effective and comprehensive system to insure more wasted household appliances get access to reverse logistics system, which will promote the development of circular economy. So research and analysis on the recycling behavior of residents become the foundation for planning and reconstruction of reverse logistic system, and it is also the key to the success of its operation. With predecessors’ recycling behavior research, this paper extends former research model by adding individual materialism and community collectivism variables. Those variables are differentiated and classified on the basis of community and non-community factors. Thus the theory model of waste household appliances recycling behavior is established. Validity and reliability of sample data from the residents’questionnaire is tested by factor analysis of Spss17.0software. Structural equation model of recycling behavior is solved, evaluated and corrected by path analysis and principal component analysis of Amos17.0software. Then by analyzing the route picture and the output of the model, this paper comes to a conclusion that how the factors act on recycle behavior. The results prove that1, among the path relationships that influence recycling behavior of waste household appliances, the following four path relationships have more effect on the occurrence of recycling behavior: personal related benefitâ†'attitudeâ†'behavioral intentionâ†'recycling behavior, convenienceâ†'perceived behavioral controlâ†'behavioral intentionâ†'recycling behavior, personal abilityâ†'perceived behavioral controlâ†'behavioral intentionâ†'recycling behavior and community related benefitâ†'attitudeâ†' behavioral intentionâ†'recycling behavior.2, The key variables that influence recycling behavior of wasted household appliances are convenience, personal related benefit and personal ability, and generally speaking, the influence of community factors on recycling behavior are stronger than non-community factors.3, Structural equation model established in this paper is also applicable to different groups, but the difference in groups might lead to the differences in the effect of each path vector effects.
