According to the information provided by the CHNS database, this paper chose the research sample of the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas of china. Firstly, according to the 8 survey data, this paper analyzed the problem of intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas of China, the results showed that there was significant intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas of China. Secondly, comprehensive the survey data, this paper analyzed the intergenerational income transmission and transfer mechanism by using model method, the results showed that the existence of China’s rural residents has significant intergenerational income transmission problems, and the intergenerational income mobility was relatively week. The choice of occupation type had stronger ability to explain the intergenerational income transmission, and it could be effectively promote intergenerational income mobility. The ability to explain intergenerational income transmission of education need to be improved, which showed that the human capital investment in rural areas of China needs to be improved, which showed that the income of children was lower relative to the income of their parents in poverty families, and then, the choice of human capital investment and occupation of the parents have a low influence from their parents. Finally, comparing to the income of parent and the absolute poverty line, the poverty sample can be divided into father-son sample and father-daughter sample, this paper analyzed their intergenerational income elasticity and influence factors, the results showed that the degree of female offspring generation is significantly lower than that of male offspring, and the female offspring can lower the possibility of intergenerational income mobility through education. Therefore, the government should formulate relevant policies to ease and curb the intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas of China. Improving and perfecting the labor market, to encourage rural residents to non-agricultural employment; increasing education investment in rural areas of china, to implement the education aid policy; Promoting the “equality between men and women”, andarguing the “gender discrimination”. These methods can help the children to escape from the poverty, and effectively alleviate and curb the poverty intergenerational transmission problem in rural areas of china.
