Ecological Security Assessment On Sustainable Development In Modern Agricultural Park

A modern agricultural park is a particular area taking agricultural innovation as a principle, scientific research, technology-demonstration, ecological and environmental protection and sustainable development as a major function, moving agricultural sustainable development forward by demonstration catering to a given agricultural area as a major mission. Shanghai SIIC Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park is one of the 12 municipal agricultural parks in shanghai. With the increasing development of economy, problems aroused with agricultural parks in every aspect indicate the fact that sustainable development does not just stand for agriculture but also for areas surround them. The research from the perspective of eco-security aims to the analysis of the sustainability of the development of Shanghai SIIC Modern Agricultural Park, assurance of the development of parks without mal-externality and guarantee of the harmonious coexistence and sustainability of agricultural parks and areas surround them.This essay reviewed the progress of research on the development of sustainability and its eco-security of agricultural science and technology parks from home and abroad, analyzing the significance of the assessment of eco-security on the development of the sustainability of modern agricultural parks. Through the assessment on the eco-security of the internal and external condition within Shanghai SIIC Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park the advantages, disadvantage sand external opportunities and threats facing the park itself were exposed, and measures, approaches and proposals were taken pertinent to the foundation of eco-security of sustainable development. Major research results are as follow:1.Through the analysis with SWOT on the internal condition and external environment of the parks, the advantages, disadvantages and the external opportunities and threats it faced of the park itself were drew. (1). Advantages:favorable climate condition; particular ecological location; rich fresh water resource; fine status quo of atmosphere, soil and noise environment; less activities of exploitation by men; superior technical supporting strength. (2). Disadvantages:frequent natural disasters; poor condition of planting; status quo of hidden perils-existing water environment; fragile and simple ecosystem. (3). Opportunities; opportunities from the foundation of ecological civilization, requirements of development, plans of parks, development of areas surround them and preservation of natural reserve and beaches and marshes. (4). Threats:threats from the development of areas surround them, changes of global climate, changes of water condition, pollution of areas surround them and invasion of alien species.2. Methods of analytic hierarchy process and comprehensive index are adapted to assess the condition of the eco-security of Shanghai SIIC Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park on the aspects of the pressure, condition, trends and responsiveness of eco-environment etc and model of PSTR is developed on the model of PSR. The results of the assessment are as follow:the grave pollution on soil, the lack of infrastructure tackling pollution-tackling purpose and the understandarded water quality are the major problems of eco-security. Measures as reinforced strength, strengthened comprehensive coordination, reasonable designed eco-chain, enhanced eco-agricultural foundation and improved ability of resistance of risks.3. As per the results of the qualitative analysis of SWOT and the semi-quantitative ana lysis of PSTR, approaches and proposals of foundation of eco-security of sustainable devel opment of Shanghai SIIC Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park are drew aiming at particular significance of the major eco-security problems and the foundation of eco-security of the park at the present stage---namely, to establish eco-securit y management system of the park, to draw up relevant plans, to improve eco-security resp onsiveness, to intensify the strength of pollution control, to set up admittance system and fo llow-up assessment of programs,to assemble professionals specialized in ecological constru ction and environmental protection and to fulfill the mission of eco-security protection.
