Research On The Coordinated Development Between Transport And Tourism Industry In Yunnan Province Based On Coupling Model

With the increasing development of social economy and continuous improvement of people’s living standard, travelling has become one of the main ways of people’s daily leisure. With the demand types of the tourism market changing, demand scale expanding, and increasing supports for the development of tourism industry from the government, tourism industry has been facing new developing opportunities. Meanwhile, as an important means of connecting tourist and tourist destination, transportation plays an important role in people’s tourism activities. The development of the transportation industry has an important impact on the development of tourism industry. As one of modern service industries, tourism industry has a strong industrial relevance, it can strongly promotes the development of the transportation industry. Therefore, the coordinated development of tourism industry and transportation industry is of great significance in promoting healthy and sustainable development of transportation and tourism industry.This paper is mainly studying the transportation and tourism industry. According to the theory of regional economics and transportation, on the basis of the relationship between transportation industry and tourism industry, using the coupling model, the paper researches the coordinated development between transportation and tourism in Yunnan Province. Specifically the paper researches on the situation of the comprehensive development of transportation industry and tourism industry and the situation of coordinated development of the two industries. Providing decision-making reference for promoting the coordinated development of regional tourism industry and transportation industry, optimizing the industrial distribution of regional tourism industry, and so promoting the healthy, coordinated and sustainable development of two industries.Researching on the situation of the coordinated development of transportation industry and tourism industry in Yunnan province from 2013 to 2004, the conclusions are as follows.Firstly, after many years of development, transportation and tourism have got some achievements in Yunnan province, the two industries develops steadily, but the empirical results show that the levels of development of the two industries are still at a low level, they are still need a further development.Secondly, although it presents a rising trend of the level of coordinated development of the transportation industry and the tourism industry in Yunnan province, but the overall coordinated level is still relatively low, and the mechanism of interaction between the transportation industry and the tourism industry has not been brought into full play.Finally, there are differences in the development of transportation industry and tourism industry in Yunnan Province, the level of coordinated development of the transportation industry and the tourism industry in Kunming and the surrounding areas are relatively high, while the level of coordinated development of the relatively remote areas are relatively low.Then, according to the conclusions, this paper puts forward some relative strategic suggestions.
