In recent years, for the protection of environmental considerations, our country hopes to gradually get rid of dependence on coal energy. To develop clean energy, however, whether wind or nuclear energy, they cannot take the place of coal in a short time. Natural gas is now the most likely part of the role of coal as a clean alternative energy. Natural gas, compared with other fossil fuels are to be confirmed whether it is from a technical point of view or an environmental point of clean, high-quality energy. With the continuous development in recent decades gas extraction technology, its share of world primary energy consumption continues to rise. According to the International Energy Agency forecasts beyond coal and natural gas will gradually become the largest oil and energy consumption. Meanwhile, with the continuous progress of mining technology, a large number of US-led Western countries for the commercial exploitation of shale gas also achieved considerable progress. It was predicted that the 21st century will be the century of belonging to energy; it is part of the century of natural gas. For our country, though we have a lot of proven reserves of natural gas, but the limited level of technology, a great difficulty of development. Therefore, China’s current consumption of natural gas still needs to rely on imports, and imports of natural gas consumption increasing. According to the US Department of Energy (Energy Information Administration) forecast made in 2010, demand for natural gas to China in 2035 will account for 20% of total global gas demand, of which the proportion of imported natural gas consumption will reach about 43%.In this paper, China’s current situation, for example by referring to the report of the World Energy Statistics compiled by British Petroleum and the China Bureau of Statistics China Statistical Yearbook and other information, collection of China’s current proven reserves of natural gas, consumption, imports over the years and other data, show the world and our country’s natural gas trade has been a huge growth in the last ten years in between. In this paper, the developed world through the introduction of natural gas trading market pricing model, and compare our current natural gas sales price formula and imported natural gas pricing mechanism, the proposed development of the natural gas trading market study to establish our own natural gas trading center and pricing models. In this paper, the use of classical Western economics, analyze factors affecting the price of imported gas, including demand, supply and price of the alternatives, in-depth analysis of the intrinsic link between them. In addition, for the lack of national laws and regulations related to gas imports, there is no clear status quo for China’s development of natural gas import pricing mode, the solution of issues related to these areas of proposed natural gas imports.
